Dr. Tu began his 2017-2018 term as President-Elect of the Medical Society of the District of Columbia on October 21, 2017 at the Bicentennial Gala celebrating 200 years of caring. The DC Medical society is the 12th oldest medical society in the country.
The Medical Society of the District of Columbia (MSDC) celebrated its 200th year anniversary on September 26, 2017. Dr. Tu was elected incoming President Elect, here pictured with Dr. Julian Craig current President and the Board of Directors.
Dr. Tu presented papers on CPT coding and Canada-US health care systems in collaboration with The George Washington University School of Medicine, American Society of Neuroradiology and the Canadian Medical Association at the Eastern Neuroradiological Society Meeting in August 2017.

Dr. Tu's new role as Vice Chair on both the ACR and ASNR Parameters/Guidelines Committees.
Dr. Tu presented at the 2017 Radiology Business Management Association annual meeting in Chicago speaking on “Approaching Perfection-Tracking Quality Issues in Radiology. Though the session was on the last day of the meeting, attendance was excellent and the session lasted nearly one hour.
Dr. Tu has been nominated as Vice Chair of the Committee on Practice Parameters-Neuroradiology of the American College of Radiology.
Dr. Tu is moderating Session 05F: Health Care Policy Programming Value Matters in Healthcare Policy at the 2017 annual meeting of the American Society of Neurology and also presenting paper with neuroradiology colleagues at The George Washington Hospital.
Dr. Tu volunteered with other ACR members at the American Medical Association national conference for medical students. Medical students from across the United States visit Washington DC to meet other attending physicians to learn about the various specialties, here at an ultrasound ACR demonstration.

Dr. Tu received recognition on December 14, 2016 for completing his 2 year term as President of the Medical Staff at United Medical Center here pictured with Vice Chief of Staff Dr. Mina Yacoub.
