What's New with Dr. Raymond Tu

Dr. Raymond Tu was interviewed by Dr. Josh Hirsch in the Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery to discuss CPT coding. Dr. Tu is interested in evidence based medicine and health policy. In this podcast they discuss the role CPT plays the proper descripton of medical procedures and its interplay with the RUC and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Dr. Tu described the importance for correct coding so accurate data to provide quality improvement metrics can me made.

Dr. Tu joined other cancer survivors at a Sunday health fair on 3/29/2014 in Ward 8. He made a passionate plea to the community to keep the "eye on the prize" of health. It truly was exciting day filled with smiles and warmth for all on a cold, rainy Saturday.

 

Dr. Tu meets with Mr. Carl Chapman DC Amerihealth Medicaid director to collaborate for healthcare for the underserved community.

 

Dr. Tu elected to Medical Society of the District of Columbia Board of Directors at 2013 MSDC Annual Meeting and Reception

Dr. Tu keynote speaker at United Medical Center Doctor's Day. A Commitment to Patient Safety and Quality.  Thursday, March 27, 2014. 

Dr. Tu returns to be the invited speaker at the 2014 American College of Radiology (ACR). Annual Meeting. He Chairs the Medicaid Network for the ACR. Dr. Tu's work with United Medical Center has been instrumental toward his insight and leadership in the ACR Medicaid Network. Medicaid is the government insurance for the poor and underserved, to provide access to health care for all.

 

Dr. Tu speaks at the Maryland Radiological Society Annual meeting Saturday May 17, 2014.
